Stick on Nail Polish

stick on nail polish (sometimes called nail wraps) are stickers you put on your nails, typically replacing or accenting your regular manicure. They’re often made with nail polish to offer a long-lasting, glossy finish, but there are also options in solid colors for those who prefer a minimalist look.

“Stick on nail polish offers an easy, quick way to do nail art at home,” says Jin Soon Choi, celebrity manicurist and founder of Jinsoon Nails lacquer line. “Nail polish in liquid form is toxic, but these wraps and stickers are safe, non-toxic and reusable.”

The best nail stickers are self-adhesive so you can simply peel and stick them on your fingernails to create a fresh manicure that lasts up to 10 days. Just like a dip or acrylic manicure, you’ll want to prep your nails with an acetone free nail polish remover and follow the directions on the package for proper application.

Soaking your hands in a small bowl of warm water for a few minutes and pushing back your cuticles to get a clean, flat base will help make the nail art stick more smooth. Then, carefully place your nail sticker on the nail bed, making sure to touch the adhesive side of the design as little as possible and ensuring that it doesn’t overlap onto the cuticle or skin at all. Smooth it over and lock it in with a clear top coat, and you’re good to go!
